Many folks ask about what locations in Orleans that we use for Family Portraits at the beach.
Portrait Sessions at Cape Cod Bay Beaches are done in the late afternoon and early evenings.  There is some walking over soft sand and, sorry, no dogs allowed.  Because of the extreme tide changes, some of the sittings are done with very little water.  But we feel the beautiful tidal flats as a background is just as nice.

Our early morning portrait session is at Nauset Beach in Orleans. This is an interesting location, especially if the surf is big.  Sorry, no dogs allowed. There is a fair amount of walking on soft sand.  Not much beach grass in the photos.  Mostly sand and surf.
The location at the Tonset Road Town Landing in Orleans is normally used for portraits at 8 in the morning.  Although not beach, per se, it's a very Capey-Coddey site.  Not a lot of fluffy sand, there is beach grass, rock formations, water all the time and Nauset Beach in the far distance.  There is a flight of stairs to negotiate and walking over mostly hard sand.  Footwear is recommended.  Dogs are allowed.
